When we started our networking group we were answering a need in the market place for an innovative and community-based group, and we are very proud to have organised two Women in Business Expo during this time, and participated in the recent Think Business Expo alongside the BEC and Doltone House.
With the ongoing success of our committee’s personal businesses taking up more of our time, we regret to inform you that (after much discussion and heartache) we have had to make the decision to cease running Rendezvous in Business from July 2010.
It has been a difficult decision to close the networking group as many businesses have benefited and grown as a result of the groups’ ongoing support. Unfortunately, it has been a necessary one.
The concept was to feature local business women through a large scale EXPO business forum. The very first successful Rendezvous EXPO was held in April 2006 at Hazelhurst Gallery in Gymea, Sydney.Over 3,000 eager women attended and over 30 local businesses showcased their amazing products and services. $30,000 was raised for breast cancer research.
The second EXPO was held in March 2008 and was a phenomenal success! Since the EXPO the committee have decided to extend their networking branch out to men and women, as there seems to be a gap in the market for a successful networking group for both genders. |
